Family-owned Since 1902
In 1902, Albert Anderson started his own construction business. His five sons, the “Brothers”, worked with their father early on excavating basements by hand and laying stone foundations.
Albert's oldest son Arnold, went on to start A.E. Anderson Construction. His brother Lester also joined the company after completing his apprenticeship in 1932, becoming a journeyman bricklayer. Brother Harold then began working for the company as well. Following World War II, Lester and Harold struck out on their own to start Anderson Brothers Inc. as masonry, concrete, and plastering contractors.
Lester’s son Michael also joined the business and finished his apprenticeship program in trowel trades, becoming a journeyman bricklayer and cement finisher in 1974. He would take over the family business in 1975.
Michael’s sons, Chris and Tyler, started in their teens working in the business. Chris completed his bricklayer apprenticeship in 2001 and his cement finishing apprenticeship in 2003, becoming one of only a few in the state to complete work as a journeyman in both trades.
Tyler also became a journeyman in bricklaying, completing his apprenticeship in 2003.
The brothers took over the family business in 2012.
